Kentwood Rotary Club members placed flags at Woodland Cemetary on May 21 in honor of Memorial Day. The Rotary Club places flags every year on the grave sites of these great heros.
The Spring Creek Elementary Choir recently held their spring concert. The choir sang a variety of favorites that included The Star-Spangled Banner, Jazz, Shalom Chaverim, and An Upstanding Citizen, to name a few. The students learned that the Star-Spangled Banner was written 200 years ago by Francis Scott Key.
AMITE - Danger to the local police station, and all those who work and reside there is imminent. As trains rattle past at a deadly sixty-plus miles an hour, windows quake, the floor vibrates, and fixtures fall off of walls. Being stationed so close to the tracks has not always been problematic.
