Kentwood resident Leroy Walls has completed a book named “30 South/30 North”. This book is an account of “an experience of living thirty years in the south and living thirty years in the north.” Walls was born in 6th Ward west of Kentwood in 1932 and currently resides in the Town of Kentwood.

Richard "Rich" Soliwoda, a resident of Amite, died at 8:45 AM on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Hood Memorial Hospital in Amite. He was born June 19, 1940 in Chicago, IL and was 74 years of age.
